Characteristics Of The Banner From The Technical Side.

Banner advertising is perhaps the best known form of advertising in the Internet. Almost at any site you can see one, two or even more banners – rectangular pictures with beautiful drawings and inscriptions. There are static banners, i.e. image on them is still. But more often – it is animated banners. The images are moving or replace each other.

In general, banners are made in such a way that it would be interesting to watch on them and people want to click mouse. It leads to a shift-click on the site, which is advertised by this banner.

What is banner technically?

I will not bother our reader the technical details (let’s web-designers and programmers do it), but I should say briefly the following:

A) Banner – is a special file in a graphical format. Without specifying the format, we can say that it is a regular file of image (photographs) of a certain size.

This means the following – that if you want your banner be seen on the site, you do not need to draw it on this site. It is enough to copy the file of banner to the place on the server and then paste its code in the code of the web page where it will be posted.

Thus you can place the same banner on countless number of others sites (of course, if you have agreement with their owners).

B) Each banner will have hyperlink associated with the site (its separate page), which it advertises. This link is prescribed in the code when you install the banner on the site. This also means that the same banner can be used for advertising different sites.

So, you can draw a picture with a beautiful girl or a photo of this girl and give it (i.e. picture file) to your friends. Let’s imagine that your friends liked image and they decided to use it as an advertising banner.

At the same time one of your friends began to use this image-banner to advertise his electronic library. He gave drawing to the owners of other sites with the appropriate hyperlink to your site library.

The second friend decided to use the picture to advertise online store of romantic travels. He sent a banner with a link of his site.

By the way, the question is: ultimately, this painted girl will be associated with what – with the knowledge in the library or pleasure in romantic trip?

But in reality, of course, a banner is made to advertise a definite site or even a single page.

B) Banners can be different sizes. Thus, among the most common there are square banner of size of 100 by 100 pixels and rectangular banner of 468 by 60 pixels, 120 by 60, etc.

Square banner is usually installed on the side of the site, left or right of the page. There are banners in the form of vertical rectangle. Banners in the form of horizontal rectangle (such as 468×60) are placed most often at the top or bottom of the page.

Today the Web network is extremely popular. As now it is both a place of entertainment and earning money, website making turned into full-fledged business. But it is not enough to have a site, it is needed people know about it. And here free classified posting could assist. One also should know that not only are paid ads accessible for use but free ones as well. Those who are looking for both ways of advertising, are invited to go to this free classified posting site – lots of info about free and paid ads.

In any way, we must use the Internet technologies to find what we need for the best price on the market. For example if there is required info on free classified sites for ad posting, it would be smart to search Google and other search engines, check out various social networks and look through topics which are relevant to yours, join the discussions on the niche forums.
